Fly Fishing Eastern Freestone Streams Successful Strategies
Move your mouse over image

Large brown trout take the hatching mayflies with wreckless abandon in a freestone Eastern stream. Unfortunately, this is all too often not the case in the freestone streams, and a good deal of understanding is necessary to be highly successful trout fly fishers. Special consideration is given to fishing with nymphs with or without using strike indicators. They also cover the best possible use of streamer flies and dry flies. The brook trout are especially prone to fall for a well presentated dry fly. Bear in mind also that the fishing conditions are "real life" and not always the most optimal of conditions. Come with the professional husband and wife team of Ian and Charity Rutter as they demonstrate where, and how to take trout in these somewhat less than the best of conditions.
