In this DVD you will learn how to tie the seven “Perfect Fly” mayfly emergers, duns and spinners. With these seven basic recipes you will be able to create over 80 highly specialized patterns by varying the size and color of the materials. All the life cycle stages of the mayfly can be created. Trout eagerly feed on these stages from coast to coast in the United States.

Once you learn to tie these imitations, you will never be in need of any more mayfly patterns. You can match the colors of the materials, and the sizes to create flies that mimic the specific life cycle of the mayflies including specifics such as when the empty shuck is still attached. You will be able to tie flies that match the Blue winged Olives, the Quill Gordons and the Red Quills just to mention a few that vary considerably. Why fish a "generic" pattern that imitates only general flies when you will be able to tie specific imitations.

Feature Length: 1 hour, 20 min. New Releases: 25 min.

These are the seven (7) basic patterns:
1. Perfect TS Emerger - Emergers are available at that stage for a short specific time, Trout take take them during this transition time, eating them with ease.

2. Perfect Super TS Emerger - As the nymphal shuck splits, the dun emerges and the shuck often sticks to the duns tails.

3. Perfect Dun - This fly is a favorite among fly fishers because anglers like fishing the dry fly.

4. Perfect Drake - The ribbed body of this fly is most realistic but it requires a few extra steps to tie.

5. Perfect Spinner - Bots are used for the body, and mayfly tails with hen feathers for wings and soft hackle for the legs.

6. Perfect Drake Spinner - These large mayflies are mostly drakes with a hook size of 10 or larger.

7. Perfect Wet Dun - Imitates nymphs hatching below the surface or on the bottom by using much less tailing material.
