Fly Fishing the Great Smoky Mountains National Park DVD
$49.95
D1011This DVD set contains over (4) four hours of information on fly fishing Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It covers all the hatches, fishing methods, tactics, techniques and strategies for fly fishing the park’s eight-hundred miles of streams. You can learn everything you need to know in order to be successful. Nineteen major watersheds and their tributary streams are covered in detail. Information on catching each of the three trout species (brown, brook, rainbows) is included. Information on fishing each of the four seasons is included. There’s much more!
What trout you can expect to catch?
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park's main fly fishing attraction is its native Appalachian brook trout. Technically, the brook trout is not a trout at all, but is a member of the char family. But they are always called brook trout or as the old timers in the Great Smoky Mountains Park call them "Specs". Wild stream bred rainbow and brown trout are also plentiful in the park's many miles of bountiful and beautifull streams.
While the trout are not trophy size, they are wild and wiley and make for enjoyful fishing. You may think that the typical trout varying from 6 to 16 inches are small, but they compare very favorably with any wild stream bread trout that can be found in any typical Eastern freestone streams.
Learn where to find each species and just how to catch them!
