Recently, I met Justin Shroyer – jdshroyer@hotmail.com and his brother operate the Appalachian Angler Outfitters and Guide service out of Boone, NC. Justin offers excellent giuide service on the Nolichucky, Watauga, and South Holston rivers. The Nolichucky is a beautiful white water stream with mountains on both sides, and it contains trout, small mouth bass and occasionally a muskie. The Watauga River contains some of the finest tailwaters in the nation, populated with trophy rainbows and browns. The best way to fish it is with a float trip. Float trips, by the way, were pioneered by Justin and his brother. The South Holston River is known as one of the nation's best trout streams and is capable of delivering some monster trout. We are hoping to have some future classes from Justin.
